If fishing is your thing, we got you! We have a small selection of fishing tackle and gear at the lodge, but if you are a serious angler, you are welcome to bring your own and we will take you to all the best places!

Fish both sides of the island
Depending on your starting location, this is a half or full day fishing trip. Half day trip starts from the mangroves, passing through either one of the villages Niggi or Kajatta. The full day trip starts from boarding the boat in-front of the lodge – the Atlantic sea and takes you on a 30 – 40 min journey round the west side of the Island to the mangroves on the east. We start with sea fishing in the morning on the Atlantic sea, progressing to the mangroves in the afternoon.

Lady, Captain, Butter, Barracuda, Red snapper, are some of the fish that you can catch in these waters. The morning or afternoon catch can then be brought back to the lodge, prepared, and cooked on our barbecue if you wish.
Fishing day itinerary
1/ leaving the lodge after breakfast, we take a 20min walk to the mangroves on the east of the Island. This is for the half day fishing trip for the full day we start from the beach in front of the lodge, board our boat
2/There we board the boat and head towards the Senegalese waters, were we will locate prime fishing spots.
3/ For the half day fishing we return to the lodge (hopefully with the mornings catch) in time for lunch 2:00.
4/ For the full day fishing, a picnic lunch and drinks will be taken on the boat, returning to the lodge for 4:30 – 5:30, in time for dinner.
